Regular physical activity helps improve your overall health and fitness, and reduces your risk for many chronic diseases. Physical activity also can help with stress management and mental health issues. Several randomized controlled trials indicate that regular physical activity can not only serve to protect against symptoms of depression but can also help to reduce those symptoms once they have occurred. Regular physical exercise can also prevent the occurrence of anxiety and anxiety disorders as well as helping to reduce anxiety symptoms.
