In-home backup child care is available seven days a week. Child care providers are screened by Parents in a Pinch for references, criminal background, and health/safety training. For information on rates, see Partners Child Care.

To schedule back-up child care, call 617-739-KIDS (617-739-5437) Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm. As a Partners employee you may also call Sunday–Thursday, 5:00pm to 7:00pm, for care needed the following day. Twenty-four hour notice is appreciated. For Emergencies, call 617-731-7262, 24 hours a day. Use of this benefit is subject to a yearly limit.

The Harvard Medical Center Office of Work and Family provides general information on choosing child care and other resources. Parents are provided with lists of licensed centers/family daycare homes, information on after-school programs, babysitters, public and private schools, school vacation programs, and summer camps.

Department of Early Education and Care                                                                                                                         617-988-6600                                                                                                                                                                       ECC licensed pre-school child care and after school programs can be found at Department of Early Education and Care.  This search function will allow you to check if a program you know of is licensed, or can assist you in finding programs in a selected Massachusetts city or town by zip code. For specific resources you can call the ECC and request to speak with the licensor to get information on complaints or compliance issues.

Build the Out of School Time Network (BOSTNET) Bostnet                                                                                                617-720-1290                                                                                                                                                                   Bostnet assists parents in setting up after-school care for school-age children in Boston.  Funded by public and private sources since 1987.  On-Line Guide lists 300 after-school programs.
