Getting Your Best Sleep
Good sleep is critical for all of our daytime activities and well being, including our ability to concentrate and to learn, as well as to maintain good health. Participants will learn about the two processes that control when and how much we sleep: the sleep drive and the circadian rhythms, and the impact disrupting these key biological processes can have on sleep and one’s day-to-day activities. This webinar will also describe the most common disorders of sleep, the symptoms that are present in these disorders, and the approaches one can take to address them. Finally, we will discuss valuable and practical tips and strategies that participants can apply to get quality, restful sleep and stay alert.
Presented by John W Winkelman MD PhD, Chief, Sleep Disorders Clinical Research Program, Departments of Psychiatry and Neurology, Massachusetts General Hospital
