An Introduction to Legal and Estate Planning for Older Adults (In-person)
Planning ahead for yourself or an elder adult can help your family avoid unnecessary complications, delay and expense. Understanding the fundamentals of estate planning – including how it works and how it may benefit you – is the first step toward planning for the future. In this 60-minute seminar, Elder Law Attorney Steven M. Cohen will discuss how to begin legal and estate planning and will explain the terms involved.

BWH Ten-Hour First Time Home Buyers Course (In-person)
This free first-time home buyers course is for those interested in buying their first home. Upon completing all ten hours and all four sessions, participants become eligible to receive a certificate that may help them qualify for a first-time home buyer mortgage, and may help them with down payment and closing costs. The course covers the home-buying process and includes presentations by a home inspector, loan officer, attorney, insurance agent and real estate broker. There is no cost to attend but registration is required. Completion of this series will provide you with proper certification to apply for affordable housing in Massachusetts. Presented by Massachusetts Affordable Housing Alliance (MAHA) and RTN Federal Credit Union.

MGH First Time Home Buying (In-person)
For many, owning a home is a dream and most important financial goal. The preparation for home-ownership begins long before the purchase actually takes place. This workshop covers pre-purchase issues such as budgeting, saving for down payment, credit reports, and debt-to-income ratios as well as the mortgage lending process. This seminar is brought to you by Partners Employee Assistance Program in collaboration with the Harvard University Employees Credit Union.

Presented by Harvard University Employees Credit Union; this 90 minute session is offered twice.
